A veterinarian is a vocation!
The profession of a veterinarian is multifaceted and responsible, at the same time, it is one of the most noble, humane professions.
There are no random people here, you need a vocation. Boundless love for animals is the main reason why people choose this field of activity.
The appointment of the profession, which is rightfully considered one of the most difficult on earth, has the deepest meaning — with their daily work, veterinary medicine workers ensure the protection of animal health and guard human health, protecting it from dangerous diseases, controlling the quality of animal products, the rules of their processing and storage — all this work requires special responsibility.
Specialists in veterinary medicine or veterinary and sanitary expertise will be required at all enterprises and in all organizations where animals are involved in the work:
- In all types of economic entities of agricultural production;
- Veterinary inspectors of regional, district, territorial administrations in the state service; vet.specialists of local executive bodies; vet.doctors of the veterinary committee; vet.specialists of agricultural departments;
- in veterinary clinics, pharmacies, pet stores;
- on farms;
- in laboratories and research institutes;
- at agricultural enterprises (meat processing plants, poultry farms);
- in nurseries;
- in zoos;
- in the circus;
- at sanitary and epidemiological stations or food control stations;
- in service dog breeding clubs;
- at stud farms, racetracks;
- in companies that produce feed.
Training in the training of specialists of the educational program at the university is three-level: bachelor – master – PhD, credit technology of training. The training of specialists is conducted in the state and Russian languages.
According to the Veterinary education program, the State allocates many grants. A rural quota is envisaged.
Duration of training:
- at the full–time department of the Veterinary education program - 5 years.
graduates who have graduated from college are accepted at the full–time department on the basis of the TVET - the term of study is 3 years.
Practical training is carried out in agricultural formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and near and far abroad.
There is a veterinary clinic at the Department of Veterinary Medicine.
